The hole will be fine, actually, punching holes in certain places in ducks feet can be used to identify them. Those holes never heal, but this one might as it doesn't look like any skin was actually removed (like when they mark them) but that she just stepped on something sharp. Ducks don't have a ton of feeling in their feet so she likely isn't bothered by it too much. Just keep an eye on it that it doesn't get infected (it shouldn't) and she'll be fine.At First I thought it’s something stuck too; then I double checked it, it is really a hole! And she was fine with it, she didn’t seem in pain. Has this ever happened to a duck!?
I put tetracycline ointment on it, But will the hole completely heal?
