I bought three ducklings yesterday. Unfortunately one of their eye is infected. I went back and they sold me an eye ointment but it only seems to get worse.
Cause and solution?

I don't have much experience with eyes, but if It were me I would do the following.
Rinse with a sterile saline solution, then apply Neosporin or Terrymacin ointment.
What ointment have you been using already? How long has it been like this?
Hopefully members more experienced with this issue will respond soon.

Good, thats Terrymacin, which is recommended. I would definitely try saline since it needs to be flushed.

@WVduckchick has had experience with something similar.

If that is pus, it needs to come out before any ointments are applied.

Mine got really bad, very quickly. So I would definitely encourage you to flush it the best you can. And provide water deep enough for the duckling to try to clear the eye itself. I ended up having to cut a big mass out of mine’s eye, but she healed!
Remember they have an extra eyelid.
