Maybe I will try some yogurt, and see if I can get it down him. I do have some polyvisol here, is it just a few drops in their water? I have one of those little plastic mason jar type waterers.
The first two days were h*ll with the chick. I came so close to euthanizing it
because I didn't want to see my wife and son heartbroken again. We've
gone through this too many times plus we lost the bunny babies too this week.
I literally forced the chicken to eat and drink. That can be tricky. Tap your finger
at the food a lot too. DLHUnicorn reccomended a very good vitamin & mineral
supplement, not polyvisol, not that pv will hurt. I started putting a lot in the water
and we made the bird drink every hour. Today she is half the size as the other
two silkie chicks but just as active. The chick wouldn't even open it's eyes on
Saturday. We may have just lucked out but I like to think we helped.
