He really looked like he was roughed up or something.....Perhaps something chased him or injured him internally and it just doesn't show......

Sorry to hear he didn't make it. A black/blue comb could be a result of poor circulation or low oxygen, which could also be a result of shock. Did the impaction? make it so he couldn't breath do you think?

Whatever that was, I doubt it happened within 24 hours. And I REALLY don't think it was am impacted crop. You've had a lot of diseases and emergencies in your flock, judging by past posts, is it possible he had other issues?

I am so sorry he died, but I honestly think you need to close your flock and have this bird tested for various diseases before you advance any further. Then treat the whole flock, and decide then if it's safe to reopen it.

So sorry you loss your bird, If you have had illnesses in your flock this might have had something to do with it. Maybe a weaken heart or something.
