Please show me your hot weather coops

    We live in North Florida. All of the coop designs I have seen are to help chickens make it through the cold winter. We have, maybe, 7-8 days per year with temps less than 32 degrees. And only at night. What we need is a coop design with more roof and more wire and less wood. Please show me yours! [​IMG]

    soory bigger pic, I used ground cloth for the top of the big part and just a smaller section is tin roofed where the nest boxes and roosts are.

    the bottom wire is horse panel, we were having oppssum problems, and regular galvinized chicken wire all over,


    and double up on a big cup of what smokin said!!!!

    Not near as nice and fancy as Tad's, but it does the job. Since we live in the desert, we built a 3 sided coop under shade trees and made the run secure. The chickens have access to the run 24/7.

    I used 80% shade cloth for the run on this one. not dark enough on hot days. I'll replace it with metal when the cloth wears out. I use electric fence to keep critters out.
