Ok ya'll, this Splash Ameraucana is just over 3 months old. I NEED a boy, all the others have been confirmed girls. He does not crow yet, but I have a few roosters at my place and have heard that submissive roos may not crow much? Anyways, give me your votes! *Sorry they aren't the greatest pics, its FREEZING out and he is uncooperative!

Seeing the face would help but in pic two I'm seeing pointed saddle feathers and down curving tail feathers so I'm voting roo .

Thanks I have been going back and forth a million times with him, but his comb is getting much redder and I THOUGHT I saw those saddle feathers creeping in. He was my last shot at a B/B/S Ameraucana breeding pen for spring as all my other hatches were girls! Thanks all, I'll breathe a little easier!

And a very nice looking boy at that. Dont you love that if you only want hens, a ton of roos to do something with. You need a rooster and hens come out like crazy.

And LOL YES, I always seem to get the exact opposite of what I'm hoping for, but I guess those are just the odds! I set three six egg hatches and got 10 girls out of 16 that hatched, the other 5 got taken by a darn possum when they were very young ..BOO.
