They should have a way of tracing back the animal if found. It might keep people from just dumping them if they can be traced back

That sounds like an amazingly good idea to me. Mandatory microchips for dangerous animals. I'd be behind that one for sure.​

yes. researchers are microchipping pythons in NC right now to see if the animals can survive in cooler climates. They have put in microchips and tracers that will enable them to track the animals if they do escape
