I only have utility type BRs, so maybe these are slow to develop the leg color. All you can do is keep an eye out and see. I'm familiar with the parent stock--very, very nice!

Kathy, I have a Rosecomb RIR from Dick Horstman that is VERY VERY nice; I have heard good about his other stock - I shall soon see, as I have some SPPR coming from his line!! I do know that he sure does know his breeding & uses good breeding practices, but I know he has LOTS of birds...it may be difficult to keep close tabs on so many breeds - I've heard he has some help with this in the way of some young teens now - I'm sure that helps keeping track of all the birds! I bet these guys will mature out to be really pretty!

here is dolores my barred rock chick

she lives with other chicks but she seems to be much more attached to her friend delilah the goose
they follow each other everywhere and she is now starting to copy goose behavior like trying to eat my hair

and by the way she doesn't look like a roo to you does she

FINALLY.... got my little guys out today and they had a blast!

Four beautiful buff rock babies enjoying some afternoon play time with a couple of lav orp hatch mates. These buffs are showing excellent color so far, they are just 6 weeks old. I believe I have three pullets and a cockerel. If anyone one is looking they are for sale.
