Plymouth Rock thread!

Thanks "MKK" - It never gets very cold here.
They are the first BPRs I have raised in about 10 years.
I intend to cross some of them back to my experimental "Barred Aruacanas".
Ha ha, Good Luck! When you do, be sure you post pictures of them (the Barred Aracanas), Cause I'm eager to see what they turn out to look like!

Hey all,
I just wanted to get your input on one of my new hens. Her previous owner was unsure of her breed, so my guesswork has me believing she's a bantam Buff Columbian Rock. I only found one picture on Google of one so am not absolutely positive Rocks come in Buff Columbian, but it looks identical. This is Tilly:

She's definitely bantam, and her legs are very yellow, and she has a single comb.

Hi, thought I would start putting Plymouth Rocks back in this thread.
A dark Exhibition Male and pullet hatched in May.
I will be showing this pair in two weeks at our Federation Show.
Pleased with them, although a few areas I have earmarked for improvement next year.
Reading other threads recently I would recommend breeding from one breed only and hatch plenty from good stock, luckily England not too big so getting good stock is easier, but still rare.
The cockerel's tail isn't fully through yet, the pullet not laying but her sister were but now stopped.
