Plymouth Rock thread!

Hi, thought I would start putting Plymouth Rocks back in this thread.
A dark Exhibition Male and pullet hatched in May.
I will be showing this pair in two weeks at our Federation Show.
Pleased with them, although a few areas I have earmarked for improvement next year.
Reading other threads recently I would recommend breeding from one breed only and hatch plenty from good stock, luckily England not too big so getting good stock is easier, but still rare.
The cockerel's tail isn't fully through yet, the pullet not laying but her sister were but now stopped.

So pretty! :drool They are looking good! Like the shape on that pullet

BRITROCK - very nice birds! I agree - I like the shape of your little pullet.

I have a couple of not so hot photos of my LF Barred Rock cockerel. One photo shows him next to his Grandfather - I believe the cockerel is on the right & the old boy, the left. I'm pleased with the cockerel"s lightness of color; his head, though his comb isn't great; and he seems to be growing a tail. He's a bit flat backed.

I got a question for ya'll Rock peeps. I know that Blue and Barred are accepted colors, is Blue Barred an accepted color. I have never seen them here in the NW. I have only seen halo's pictures on here.
