Plymouth Rock thread!

Pics
Every time I come to this thread, I'm just amazed at the new pics! Lovely birds, all!

Kathy.....did you haul your scale out to your coop?? I'm glad you were able to get some answers. Hope things are on the right track for you. I've been a little disappointed in the leg color of my silver pencileds. THey are yellow, but a sort of buff yellow, not nice & bright as I'd like to see. Sigh.

My PPR roos have yellow legs the hens have the dusty wash over the yellow there is a thread someplace that explained the genetics of the yellow shanks and why the hens have the dusty wash....the heritage site says to worry about the colors last after you have type and size and eggs....it must be like the light yellow and seems like green cast the Delawares have in some .....if breeding good chickens were easy all the hatcheries would be selling SOP. I'm so glad that we are trying to preserve these beautiful chickens

Not yet, but I am going to. I am sooo excited. Look at this email I got today:

If you can get some good photos of your cockerals and their weights, I'll help you pick the keepers. You'll want to keep at least two of them. I'll need good natural side poses and a head on, back on and from above would be a bonus. If you do the same for the pullets, I can help there also. It may take a while, but well worth the effort.
