Kathy, do you know the age in these pictures? Also there is alot to like about these guys outside of their appearance. We have become big fans of them.

No, not exactly ...... just that they are from his 2011 hatches.

I have a few chicks growing out. This one male, in particular, catches my eye already. I can hardly wait to see how he turns out. He just seems so "thick" and massive to me already. I don't know if I can capture it in a picture, but here is an attempt......

No, not exactly ...... just that they are from his 2011 hatches.

I started hatching 1-4-11 and just stopped a few days ago. The birds in the pictures are 1-4-11 to 2-10-11 hatches

Thank you Jeremy. I have been eyeing the pictures trying to compare the progess of the birds I have to others. This is the earliest hatch I have seen. You have remarkable birds. These guys have more potential as meat birds than I had anticipated. Do you weigh your birds?

Hey every one, I finally got my Barred rocks, wondering though about color, seems I remember reading here the boys are lighter /more white than the hens?
is that correct or do I have it backwards..hoping I'm backwards cuz Otherwise I have 4 out of 5 are roo's after all the hassle and waiting 2 extra months ggggggrrrrrrrrrr

Yes, you have alot of boys in those pictures. See those red combs? Those are boys.
