Plymouth Rocks that lay blue eggs.

Are we certain on this? My two Plymouth rocks I got in April of this year just started laying. They are the blueish variety. One has been laying very light brown eggs. And you know how cute and tiny they are when they first lay. Tonight as I was tucking everyone in, I saw a blue egg laying randomly in the middle of the coup. I figured it was from our Aracauna, Felicia. She is our only blue/green egg layer. But she has been laying outside the coup lately and this little tiny egg was definitely more than half less the size she normally lays. I suppose she could have just layed a tiny egg, but it can’t be for certain yet. I will keep an eye out for this. P.S., our Plymouth’s names are Gandalf (the grey) and Frodo. We are fairly certain Frodo started laying first.
Barred Rocks don't lay blue eggs. Either Felicia layed it, or one of your barred Rocks is mixed with something that has a blue egg gene. :)

I’m definitely ok with her being mixed if that’s the case:) Who wouldn’t love more pretty colored eggs? It worries me about the supplier, tho. I ordered through Rural King. I wouldn’t think a big franchise would have issues like that 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess the other possibility which I didn’t think to mention would be that we adopted a hen about a month ago who the previous owner says is only 1 1/2 to 2 years old. She has not been laying since we took her in. I figured because of stress. She looks like a light colored Brahma, but she may be mixed, and that might make sense if she hasn’t laid in awhile to start out with a small egg? I put a question mark because I really don’t know! I’m pretty new to all this. I inherited my first flock when we bought our house two years ago! We have learned a lot since then and are still learning every day! It’s definitely had its ups and downs.

These are snaps from some videos we took the first night we got her in her separation pen from the rest of the girls. I tried to post the videos but something went wrong.

She is the BR?
Oh, Barred Rock. Yes, I thought at first one of my newly laying “Plymouth” rocks (I thought that was different than a Barred Rock) was the blue/green egg layer. Then I updated the story about how our newly adopted hen, who appears to be a light Brahma may have layed it. She hasn’t layed since we got her.
