Hey all,
Last month my chicken broke her wing. I believe it was an attack of some sort. Not having a vet nearby that helps chickens, my mom and I tried healing her wing ourselves. Which for the most part, it worked. No infections whatsoever and the feathers she lost during the attack grew back. She’s eating, walking, and drinking just fine.
HOWEVER,
I noticed today that the place where she got injured healed, but it didn’t heal around her bone. Meaning, a tiny part of her bone is sticking out and exposed with a small scab around it. I attached a picture below.
Anyways, I’m not sure what to do about this because I’m assuming that’s not a good thing (despite her acting completely fine and moving the wing)

What should I do?

Other than putting a serious crimp in her modeling career, this is a tiny cosmetic flaw that isn't in any way detrimental to her health and well being. Leave well enough alone.

Keep an eye on it for signs of infection. I doubt that will occur, but if the tissue opens around the bone, you want to stay on top of it by putting a wound ointment on it until it heals closed again.

What should I do about the scab area? I currently have a antimicrobial poultry spray on it which is covered by a band aid (the chicken is a difficult one and keeps trying to eat her scabs and I didn’t want her pecking at the scab and bone)

Is she actually picking at the scab or trying to remove the bandaid? It's not useful trying to cover a wound on a chicken. They simply will not tolerate it.

If she picks at the scab, it will grow back. Eventually it will heal. Just keep spraying the wound to keep bacteria from getting out of hand.
