Polish Chick Development

My one W.C Black Polish has a very ugly bald spot. My chicks are 8 weeks now and her spot looks... red and gross with little feathery nubs but no growth for a while now. I am wondering if at this age there is still hope for her or if she has some kind of deformity. I have 4 other Polishes in this batch and their top hats are fine. All my chicks are from McMurray and I regret that now as I have been learning on these forums that their breed standards aren't the greatest.
