We have several breeds of chickens including polish. The gate got accidentally left open and the polish got mixed in with my other breeds. We seperated them again the next day. We hatched some eggs anyhow and a few look polish to me. My plan is to sell them as mixed heritage breed. What do you all think Polish? We have two polish roos. We have Splash, Buff Laced, Bronzed Laced, Silver Laced, White Crested and a Blue polish chickens. Only other roo we have is a barred rock.

Males are bronze laced and blue. Females are Silver Laced and splash, Buff Laced and White Crested black.

So you're trying to figure out what rooster is the father of these chicks?

Any chicks with a Barred Rock father should grow up barred (white bars on the feathers, no matter what other colors the feathers have.) That should be the most accurate way to tell them apart, but of course that's not useful until they grow feathers :)

If any chicks have a white or yellow spot on their head, like Barred Rock chicks do, then they are probably barred, and thus have a Barred Rock father.

Any chicks with large amounts of brown probably do NOT have a Barred Rock father. Chicks with large amounts of black, blue, or white might have him as the father, but chicks from your Polish roosters could have those colors as well.

Looking at the chicks, I think they most likely have Polish for both parents, but I cannot be positive at this age.
