The problem is it's just much harder to tell in these pet quality Polish. In my bantams, your bird would be a male and one not destined for the show world at that. I'm sure he'll be a striking pet though and very cute running around the yard.

Because of the varied comb size, crest size, body type in hatchery Polish it is indeed hard to say at this age.

Some of my new babies. Cynthia your birds made cute babies! I can't wait until they are older!
I also have 3 eggs in lockdown now.

This one is our 1st baby. About 2 months old. At first I thought boy but now I'm thinking girl. Beautiful WC Blue:

This cute WC blue frizzle. 4 weeks old, not sure of sex yet:

Everybody looks boyish to me, though I can be fooled by the frizzles. Funny. I've hatched probably 90% males this year- unbelievable! A friend of mine with my stock in Kentucky says she has mostly girls. I keep wondering about things like light and the weird winter we had and wondering if that can affect sex- or if it's just that my incubation this year sucked and I killed all the girls. People I shipped eggs to got a preponderance of boys too this year but the same variables apply: did the girls die in shipping or were they not conceived because of some change this year? I hope at least one of your frizzles will defy my predictions.

Here's a picture of my golden laced polish pullet this morning:

Recently her lacing's improved, and I can't wait to see how she turns out. She's not supposed to be show quality at all, and I was expecting worse.

I hope so too! I have 3 eggs in lockdown and 2 have small pips. They are due tomorrow.

I have had GREAT success with dry incubation! Thanks for the idea!
I have my brooder in the master bath and the ONLY way I can wake up Paige is to bring baby chick to her and the "peeping" is her alarm clock. She wakes up all smiles.
