Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tolbunt eggs in there too. And one Polish/marans egg that I found on the coop floor . I found it cold, warmed it up and candled it. There was a lot of wiggling going on in there so I popped it into the incubator with my other ones. My broody is on day 19 too. Those eggs I dare not try to look at. She's an evil thing on that nest.
They get pretty testy when they're brooding but one bad egg could ruin the lot...check her at night and it will be better. Not being bossy or a know it all

but I had that happen with a Pekin duck and it broke her and my heart

....I gave her some chicken eggs after that and she hatched them...

biting the hell out of me or not I checked them twice a week but did wear thick sleeves

I have a few silver laced in the incubator right now, we're on day 19. And I can't stop checking, just in case an egg wiggles. Hubby thinks it's funny to yell "Look! A pip!" when I'm not in the room. He got me once for far.
That sounds like my husband!!! He is always teasing me about my Bird Lovin'!

My plan is to put on my long oven mitts and a peace offering of mealworms, so I can take a look tonight.

Can someone please tell me if they think the one on the right is a roo? His feathers are dirtier and some are still coming back in because he was being picked on by my other chickens. (I've since separated the Polish from the rest of the flock). I ordered a roo and a pullet, but to me they both look like pullets. They're 14 weeks old today.

Here's another pic. Sorry it's blurry, but he wouldn't hold still for the photo op.

I know when I had some polish Roos... Hmm about the same age maybe, well they had like a spiky crest, here's a pic of one of my roosters, sadly he isn't with us anymore :(

So I'm guessing a pullet? But I'm not sure i haven't raised much polish so I could be wrong (srry the pic is blurry)

katz, that's what I was thinking. I've had a Buff Polish roo in the past and I have Golden Polish roos right now the same age as these, and I would swear these are two pullets. It would just be so strange to have the hatchery make a mistake on the pullet side. They usually make a mistake and send a roo instead of a pullet, not the other way around, lol!

That's what I was thinking! You would usually get a roo instead if a pullet, lol! Not a pullet instead if a roo.
