Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting my first polish chick today. I am told she's female. She's black!

I am excited, and I can't wait to see what kind of personality she will have.

I have a Silkie roo, that I adore. Was looking for a silkie hen, and some frizzles, but, a polish in the flock can't possibly hurt, right?

Three of my five SL polish have hatched! Only one of the Tolbunt is out, and it has the worst wry neck I have ever seen. It's getting it's vitamin cocktail, so hopefully it will recover. And hopefully more of the eggs hatch.

Can you please let me know what you do for wry neck? We're going to be venturing into hatching our own, so I want to be prepared. Thanks!

So far so good over here, I am impatiently waiting for more to hatch. I think it's going to be a long night for me.

Here's the recipe that I have for wry neck:

  • 2 TBS Pedialyte
  • 2 drops Baby Vitamin (No iron!)
  • 100 units Vitamin E (squirt out half a capsule)
  • 50 mcg Selenium (1/4 tablet crushed)

A few drops every few hours until it is doing better. My chick just had it's second dose, it's sleeping peacefully now rather than flipping around crying. Hopefully this is working.
