Hi everyone!! I'm quite excited because i have been to been to pick up my new roo this morning!! He's a blue splash, this years hatch so fingers crossed he will be good for breeding in the spring next year. He is going to go in with my gold lace girls when he has finished his quarantine so am wondering what colours I shoukd get from this pairing in any future chicks?

I had to chuckle when you said you aren't into flock drama/politics. As a senior I just want peace too.

I love Leghorns and BRs and RIRs and NHRs and even the obnoxious Marans since I've had them all before but once we had a chance to have some gentle breeds we sacrified the big and/or dark brown eggs of the aggressive breeds and are thoroughly enjoying our small to medium eggs layed by a sweet natured flock.

oh yes. no drama here please. right now we have an over abundance of roosters. more roosters than hens actually. so one of my polish naked neck silkie mixes will have to go and maybe one of the polish ones from above.

My glp roo is 6 months old now and I have a question. First of all he doesn't have a comb, and his tail is black instead of golden other than that he looks normal

My bearded roos don't have combs. Do you have a picture of your gl?

Hi fellow polish lovers, I have tried posting in my oregon thread no response. I was wondering if anyone had a polish rooster for sale in Oregon I have been looking for about a year and can't find one in a color other then white crested black polish

So difficult to weed down the extra roos but a good thing for your out-numbered hens. We aren't allowed roos so when our "pullet" Silkie started to crow it was the most difficult thing I ever had to do to give him up because he was so gorgeous and sweet! All I can hope is that he is still alive today 4 years later since we still have his adorable sister with us.
