Thank you.
My gold rooster is very polite, but Ringo (the buff here) shredded the comb of one of my speckled Sussex.I got so mad that I sent him to live in the goat pasture with my other bad roosters.![]()

*gasp* Naughty Boy!!!
I'm hoping mine are just rough from inexperience. And they all try to mob one hen all together.
Hoping to separate my bearded with my bearded hen and make some babies, or at the least see how he does under some close supervision.
What is my "Diana"? I mean is she a black lace? I know not buff. My first chickens and she is the only polish. Thanks in advance![]()
Diana is a white crested black
I have a couple of these and they are real characters!
Super cute! Sorry to hear you lost one on the first nightI don't know if I'm complaining, making a statement or asking a question. But if you have an answer, reply or comment please chime inLast year I got some Polish Crested chicks from Cackle Hatchery. They have been laying off and on since the Fall and their eggs are finally big enough to hatch. So I set six of their eggs with a few easter egger eggs. At the same time, I ordered some silver laced Polish chicks from Ideal Poultry and scheduled them to be shipped so that my own chicks in the incubator would go into the brooder at the same time the hatchery chicks arrived. Turns out, the hatchery chicks are about 24 hours older than my own buff laced chicks so that worked out perfectly. So, what's up with the silvers? They are so small. Supposed to be standard size and not bantam. Still cute though! Too bad one died the first night they were here.
