Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aww, so sorry to hear that!  The same thing happened to me one day with one of my hens.  Opened the coop, and there she was.  No indication of anything being wrong and all of my other hens were and still are healthy.
Did you ever figure out what caused it? I bought some medicine to put in the water for the rest of flock, but the stinking polish was almost fully crested out. Oh well I still have one more going strong

Here is my prettiest little buff laced polish baby. 3 weeks old.

Her name is Kimber and her crest is about 3 times as big as her siblings. Does that have anything to do with sex of the birds?

Our new baby!! Silver laced chick and my son. Don't you think this looks like one of those photos that needs to be in a caption contest?!?
Super cute! How does he react to the chick? My 17 month old son is obsessed with chickens. It's all he talks about all day long. Always wants to go out to the coop with daddy. If I put a chick near him he would probably grab it and carry it around not letting it go. We got 14 chicks last week and I take him out to the brooder several times a day to see the "baby chickens". I am 30 weeks pregnant right now and he is so chicken obsessed he thinks I have a chicken in my belly :)

Hahaha! That's so cute! I wasn't sure what he would do. I have only let him look into the brooder as well, but this morning I pulled one of the chicks out and set it by him. He reached for it several times but the chick backed away. My son moved slow enough that I could supervise everything carefully for a few minutes and then I put the chick back. I didn't take a pic until I was sure he wasn't going to grab and squish the poor fuzzy! My son is 11 months and still does not crawl!!!!
