How can you tell the difference between a pullet and cockrell? Mine are about 4-5 months old. But I want to get more. Their feathers on the head are stringy, not a tight puff ball like some of these pictured.

Can you post some pics? In general and this is not gospel the more untidy the crest the more likely it is you have a roo. The more tidy and rounded crests are more likely to be pullets. Have they got wattles? What colour are they? White crested black pullets do get wattles.

Frizzles are a totally different kettle of fish and I usually wait for a crow from them to be sure.

Can you guys help me sex my Daffodil? He's 11.5 weeks old. No signs of waddles at all. To me I think his do looks pullet-like but it looks like he's feathering in elsewhere like a cockerel. He's also my most aggressive chicken (he likes to attack my feet and he also goes after the dogs) but then once you're sitting down he wants to sit in your lap and cuddle and be pet.

I don't have any other polish to compare him to so I thought I'd come to the experts.

That's a toughy!!! The crest looks full like a pullet.
