I thought that was just a random quirk of my silly girl! Do yours do the full pancake, wings spread out? She's mostly grown out of the pancake (at 5 weeks now) but still does the ridiculous head hang or bury.Oh my gosh. Why do polish lay with their heads buried? Mine did that and they roost with their head down. They are so weird, but cute.
I'm thinking if building mine their own pen and adding a few more.![]()
Mine did that a lot when they were little!I thought that was just a random quirk of my silly girl! Do yours do the full pancake, wings spread out? She's mostly grown out of the pancake (at 5 weeks now) but still does the ridiculous head hang or bury.
The females have poufs on the front on their heads close to the beak and the males have poufs that are further back on the head. I'm hoping my two are female. I suspect the breeder put older chicks in with newer babies because my gold-laced is twice the size. It could be than I got a bantam white crested black though. Those poufs are like itty bitty cottonballs! The poofs on their tiny heads are so stinking cute!
