It sounds like an inexperienced teacher who overstepped her bounds. I would bring it to the teacher's and perhaps the principal's attention. As silkie said, teachers are people too and they make mistakes, is this a mistake you can live with????? For me, I think it would be a talk to the teacher one, because she voiced a personal opinion on both religion and politics, and stated it as fact. That has no place in the classroom. I would feel that it would be as wildly inappropriate as saying "candidate such and such is blessed by God" or that "all Muslims are terrorists". The classrom is not the place for this kind of expression by a teacher.
