Legal in city. I received my Limited Agriculture Permit from zoning two weeks ago after completing the coop and pen structure to city requirements. I have a large lot, but not large enough. .9752 acres. Only allowed to have a maximum of 10 hens, no roos.

There is some crazy quantitative statement of how much chick poop I'm allowed to keep on the property including where and how I keep it. Only two water tight, sealing, rubbermaid containers full of chicken poop is all that I can keep on the property. I'm not storing the poop in rubbermaid, since we've just started I haven't added anything to compost so I could loose my permit at any moment.

Totally legal, 10 Acres, zoned Agricultural & Farming, have 25 or so hens, 2 roos, 8 horses, 3 Jack Russel Terrorists and too many barn kitties to count. Zero mice, moles, voles or other vermin..
