We are out in the county well over six miles from town in the middle of farms. Add to that no zoning in the county so the girls are legal. Now back in my younger biker days................

I'm not really sure.

We live in the middle of a subdivision. Double lot with privace fence.
Our neighboring city, Madison Heights, just passed a 2 year law that they are allowed 3 hens, no roosters.
I was told that in Troy we can have 5 hens and no roosters, but there are parts of Troy that are much mor rural than where we are.
I only have 2 hens and my close neighbors have no problem with my girls. They enjooy comming over, as if we had a petting zoo!

Im definitely an outlaw. With 50 to 60 chickens, 11 ducks, 6 geese, and 6 button quail; Im surprised we aren't legal.
