POLL: How much do you pay for a 50# bag of feed???

OK, seriously, I am paying TWICE what most the rest of you are paying!:mad: Even if you compare organic to organic!! GRRRRR!

Here in Northern Florida the starter feed is 9.50 Regular layer pellets are 9.50 as well scratch is the same. We are having trouble getting hay whats the price around country. Last week we had to but rebaled hay and that was 5.50. with a limit on 15 bales. Most of the time you have to come back for hay We have four feed stores in town and they all have the same problem. We have paid 12.00 for a bale of hay a few weekks ago

Can I sell you all mine?

I bale about 20 acres all in small squares for horses and sheep etc.

Going price in Indiana is $3 or 3.25. Maybe I will get a semi and drive it all to Florida

Oh yeah.... 10.50 for 20% starter, 11.75 for 20 % medicated and 12.50 for 24% starter(non-med)...all 50lb bags...

Okay, in north central Arizona, just this morning, I priced 50# of Purina Mills medicated Start & Grow at $14.99. So, not only can people not afford to buy a home here, we can barely afford to feed our families, AND, we could possibly spend as much on groceries for our pets as we do for ourselves. Yikes!

That is a great idea, I will have to do my research..... We are in Lompoc once a week for swim lessons anyway!

Thanks!

Are you around the Sedona area? It seems outrageous there. I may be moving more towards the Scottsdale area by Superstition Mountain. The housing is waaaay cheaper.

It's weird how a bunch of new agey yuppies can come in to a place and the prices sky rocket!! Now it's half tourist crud and half overpriced houses. It's sad because it was a favorite camping spot of mine for a long time.
