Knock on wood, I've been eating med-rare burgers for 15+ plus years and my daddy for 40+ years. Neither of us have gotten sick yet.

Some people just have bulletproof guts. My husband is one of these people. You can feed him sludge from the bottom of a Chinese restaurant's dumpster that's been festering for the day in 100 degree heat and he'd be happy as a clam.

I, on the other hand, inherited some of my mother's fragile digestive system, so I know I have to be more mindful of what I put in my mouth.

If you grew / grow up on a farm, around animals and eating fresh all the time, your body is pretty immune to most anything around there. You most likely are NOT going to get sick from the meat etc, what's on / it, is already in you.

Ground beef is not usually the grade you want to cook less than medium well. The surface area allows too much bacteria to infiltrate the meat. Most places aren't going to police their grinding, burger patties are not the same as tartare.

If you are eating wild hog, or bear for that matter, there is no choice, you MUST cook it very well done. Trichinosis will kill you. But man who don't love a good ham? YuMMMM..

I got the next size down lol I was gonna get the small one but it was only 20 cents cheaper for waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy less so it didn’t make sense lol

Also got some miracle whip which was insanely expensive!
