Adorable!! :love
@BantyChooks this was the cage before which I didn’t realize just how barren it was until I took these pics  and I added some of the other toys back and moved some stuff around. Hopefully they like it. :fl I was gonna put the corner shelf back because they LOVE it but I couldn’t get the new one to fit right to attach it so I just left it off. I feel really bad but they’ll have to adjust 🤣 they’re actually kinda lazy and sometimes use that as a stepping stone to get from one side to the other so they’ll have to not be lazy lol I also fully cleaned the cage out too 😁

I definitely recommend removing the dowel perches and buying some nice natural branches, maybe moving the rope perches lower to encourage them to spend less time on them. I also highly recommend the type of swing I showed in my images, my birds LOVE that; they spend almost all day on it, and it functions as a chew toy to keep their minds busy too. With a greater variety of toys placed in more convenient locations, they should start engaging with them!
I’ve read on it and even found a great recipe for that sort of veggie mix thing but I haven’t tried it yet. I did try offering them pellets though back when I had first gotten them and Dizzy flung them out of the bowl 🙄🤚 I may need to try again because I know they’re supposed to be healthier for them but he’s a dramatic jerk. Maybe if I don’t give them a choice? Idk. Would budgies starve themselves to death?
It takes many months and quite a lot of persistence to switch budgies over most of the time. What I do is grind the pellets, mix them with seeds, and moisten them so they clump together. This should be removed after about 4 hours, though, same with chop. During the rest of the day, I give them Lafeber Nutriberries which are better than most seeds in that they're already hulled and so the supplementation on them isn't lost via the birds hulling the seeds.

Not all birds like chop. Mine hate it. They LOVE fresh vegetables chopped into slightly larger sliced though. Try a bunch of different things to see what they like best. You can also give them broccoli as a first vegetable. The texture is similar to seeds, so they tend to like it better.
For the pellets, they are important for their diet, but they need seeds too. A budgie's diet should be 25% seeds, 25% pellets, and 50% vegetables.
Different birds like different brands of pellets. Mine really like Harrison's.
My birds eat all of their food, so I can offer everything free choice. Not all birds are like that though. Some people need to control how much of each food the birds are getting.
I've been thinking of trying Harrison's or Roudybush to see if my birds accept it better than Lafeber.

Thank you!

I have that same swing, and my budgies love it too! They play on it all the time, and often sleep on it at night. I'm going to have to buy a new mat though soon, because they have chewed it to shreds. 😅

I haven't tried Roudybush (though I hear it's very good), but I really like Harrison's. It seems like really good quality food, and my birds love it. Just make sure that you get the Super Fine pellets, because the Fine pellets are too big for them.

Thank you!

I already have a replacement in my Amazon cart for my two. I've never seen them so focused on systematically destroying something.

It's recommended to start off with the high potency formula, right?

Yeah, same! Yesterday, Sprite spent nearly 15 minutes just tearing and ripping at it. At this point, it's only holding by one little piece. I really need to get a replacement. What brand did you get?
