Pomeranian Goose Breed Thread

You could ship them! Some of us would like to have a few more to diversify our flock genetics. I HAD mine in breeding pens. Then the snow and more snow and then more snow piled up. Now they can practically use the banks as ramps to just get in and out. I am going to have to reconsider the height of my fencing this spring. I was wanting to expand the pens some so this might be the catalyst.

Hello everyone. I'm new to Pomeranian Geese. I just got my gander today. He's a buff saddleback. I'm looking to get him a girl in the next few days

I'm really excited to get him.

WTHeck is in there with him??

You might try Mrs Magoo as she is down that way. Then there is this woman in LA who is trying to sell her whole flock of curly Poms. She is selling them at an amazing deal too. If she were closer they'd be mine.

No mating dances here yet, just a lot of dancing, but I hear that someone's birds just started laying down in KY somewhere. February for us most likely.

LOL All that fluff in the mud. Ugh.

I just heard someone else up here is getting goose eggs! I think they probably have hatchery birds but that's a hopeful sign for me. Now about that wing....

The cooler you are with the situation, the better it´ll be afterwards. Depending on how you respond, it could make it more difficult afterwards if he thinks he´s gained the upper hand, or if he thinks you really are a threat. Just wander around with a broom handle to keep the distance between you, which he should respect, (geese just don´t like sticks, but don´t need to hit him with it, a poke should suffice if it´s even needed) he´ll get used to it and it all should settle down later on.
