Nice! - I definitely will buy from there, the allbirds web-site even has some anti-fungal stuff.
Btw: Baytril is yet another anti-biotics that has been banned by the EPA/FDA for use in poultry wateres because it has created a strain of resistant bacteria that made the birds (chickens) even sicker...
I'm super careful with my antibiotics use. I make sure I give it exactly as recommended and never miss doses. Baytril is still prescribd by my avian vet, and my dog vet, for that matter. Maybe it's a regional issue?

I've used Baytril and never had a problem with any of my birds who have taken it.
I think the problem comes from abuse, not proper use. Like how when doctors used to prescribe antibiotics for EVERYTHING and it led to the current crisis of super-bugs that are immune to most of them now.

Your avian vet might be walking a thin line:

And i agree, i am very careful with antibiotics too. But when they are necessary i usually reach for the big guns, like that triple antibiotic ointment. Three kill'em all ingredients in one package.

Ah, that explains it:

Single bird usage is still approved, but it is no longer approved for larger flocks, when applied to their drinking water. - Basically it is a shot against maximum-security poultry jails where the birds receive anti-anti-anti-drugs as preventative care, so that even more birds can be stuffed into shoeboxes.

Exactly! - And that's why i always start a discussion with doctors when they want to prescribe me an antibiotic, »just in case«. Vaccination and a strong immune system is always better than antibiotics.
