Pompom Duck has her eyes infected

I tried everything: Placing a towel with a short end to the right, long end to the left on my lap, Setting the duck down on the towel, folding the short end over the duck then rolling her over, wrapping the long end of the towel around to form a burrito. - Ended up with a duck on the floor blindly running back and forth, smashing into everything.
Next attempt: placing the towel mid on my lap, forcing the duck to sit down in middle of the towel and wrapping her from two sides - she slid out before i could fold the left side over her re-arranging everything on my desk with her wings.
Third attempt: I folded the towel in the middle 90° on my lap smashed the duck down where the towel is folded and wrapped her diagonal from two sides. Worked!

For 45 seconds, just long enough to insert the antibiotics coin. She didn't want to drink after swallowing the pill, instead poked the water-container out of my hand down to the floor.
To apply the eye-ointment, i just grabbed her by the neck and pushed her down to my lap with my left forearm and applied the creme with my right hand. She has Terramycin now on her forehead, bill, neck and ... in both eyes. I don't care, a new package has just arrived in my mailbox this morning… I did not tried to apply the eye-drops: I drip the drops into her eyes, she violently shakes her head and the drops fly back out, right in my face. Oxoflacin eye-drops taste bitter - don't ask how i know…

Tomorrow i will wrap her up in sandpaper! That should have enough friction to keep her in. I will wash the towels tonight without fabric softener and will air dry them. Maybe that helps.
I use one of these for my really unruly birds (which are always the ducks - lol):

Update on PomPom and Iris: Iris is back out on the pond with the other ducks. She still keeps her left eye closed and cannot see more than shadows there. 😟 But her right eye is almost back to normal, enabling her to live almost normal.
PomPom however - She couldn't find the door of the duck-house today. 😟
She is back inside since 10am and mad as hell on me! When i tried apply the eye drops for the first time, she broke free and bit so hard in my ear that i was bleeding. Doing my best to medicate her, but i will stop at anf Thrift Store on my egg-delivery run today and ask for baby-swaddlers…

Since straw is no longer an option (bought a farmer out the other day myself) you can use wood shavings. They work well. Also, when you use Terramicin if you pull down on the lower eyelid and lay a ribbon of ointment in there, then slowly release the eyelid and close the eye & open the eye a few times, then you know the ointment got where it needs to be. I would not let her swim for a couple hours if at all during days of treatment.
Hope all your feathered friends are better soon!
