$187.29 was the bill.

Ducky was very thoroughly examined and found to be at excellent health, she demonstrates great capabilities of gobbling down cat-food, draining water filled containers and she pooped, not once, not twice, but five times. And her poop was of pale greenish colour, so she must be able to eat from the supper bowl in the night. That color is from the red cabbage…
But her eyes.

She has a severe bacterial infection in both eyes, no parasites and no fungus (so said the doc!) and the infection has spreaded into the interior of her left eye. She mvery likely will have scar tissue and loss of visibility in that eye. Her right eye looked a bit better today, but is still a long way from being okay.
As for the treatment, she got…
… a bottle of Ofloxacin Ophtalmic solution, to be applied into her eyes 2-3 times per day.

… Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment, to be applied twice a day.
It contains Oxytetracycline and Polymyxin, double punch on those pesky bacteria

… 15 tablets of Docycycline for oral application.

I am soo looking forward to push ½ tablet down the dragon's throat this evening.
Driving to the hospital was uneventful, she happily sat down on the towels that i had arranged like a nest in the laundry basket and was listening to all those unknown noises. On the Interstate she felt asleep.
While the assistant was holding her, she let her head dangling down as if she is already dead - don't eat me, i'm dead since a long time ago and don't taste good anymore…
Just when the doctor shined a bright light into her eyes, she twitched and protest-quacked. (and pooped).
Right now she is still sitting in that laundry basket in my home-office, waiting for me to finish writing this up, then being medicated - eye-drops plus pill and then eat her dinner and drink plenty of water.
She will spend the night in her nest in the duck-house, she was already calling out when she heart the other's quacking outside…
