Poodles and Chickens - together forever!

Every family, even a genius one, has a "special" member or two.

I have two standards. One of them is "special" she is kinda smart, but definately special. My male loves to retrieve and has a very high prey drive, so he doesn't get to see the chickens. I'm afraid he would kill them. But I think he could out retreive in lab in our area. I wish he could get some training to put his retrieving skills to good use. But they enjoy being foo foo dogs. I groom them once a week, but being foo foo only lasts a day or two.

poodle needs everything spelled out for him. He can follow and command but he can't think for himself. He's a total spaz.

We have a boy like that, he is epileptic and on a lot of meds. He is the sweetest thing though

I think what makes those faces so cute are the giant noses! And he lets me kiss his face all the time! He loves it

Every time I see my dad's little black poodle, this is what I think of-Quint's monologue from Jaws. Just substitute the word "poodle" for "shark" and there you have it.

Sometimes that shark he looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. And, you know, the thing about a shark... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'

Here is a picture of "Burrhead", the special poodle with the most amazing dog in the whole world (just for comparison).
BTW, we call him Burrhead because he is always going head first into piles of buttercup seeds and then we have to shave his head. That's why his head looks so bad. It's not because we are poor groomers.
