Poop specialists required - apply within

Hi folks,

I have yet to see the culprit in action, but i noticed these poos this morning (around 20 minutes after i let them out of the coop) and they for sure are not the usual "beauties" i see.




Looks like they've been at the peanut butter

I'd be grateful if anyone could make any suggestions as to what may be causing it. I de-wormed them last week, so that should not be the issue.

Nope - exactly the same as they have always had. Not sure if it makes a difference, but our "short rains" are with us here in Kenya and its been a particularly severe season.

That was my best guess, though if you wormed them perhaps it's reflecting any worm material or even some of the digestive tract lining shed from worm damage. I have occasionally seen poop like that especially from my turkeys but nobody shows up sick and it comes and goes.

Ours have pooped like that before. Just kind of like chicken diarrhea. Probably ate something that made her sick. Whoever it is should get over it in a day or two.

On the first one those poops probably fall into the caecal or worm category and on the second one, caecal.

As you have wormed them, that leaves caecal.

It could just be an after affect of the worming as oldhenlikesdogs has suggested.

Mainly just posted to say thanks for putting me off peanut butter, I knew it wasn’t good for me every morning when I put it on my toast .. switching to Vegemite

In the UK its called marmite - regardless of its name, it should be illegal

Its actually become part of a saying in the UK- "its like marmite, you either love it or hate it"
