I have had the WORST hatch in history! one of my little guys thats actually still alive has been having a hard time. Once his beak was out and he was breathing I started to notice a foul smell. It smelled like he pooped. After further investigation, once he got wiggled out, his yolk is not fully in. The kicker is he DID poop in his shell and it appears that around his yolk is puss! I cleaned him up as best I could with out causing harm, and fasioned a diaper of sorts out of gause to cover the area to prevent any damage to the tiny bit of yolk there. When his cord came off it didn't bleed. Other than covering it till it can absorb, if there is an infection due to his pooping in the shell, can I clean it with hydrgen peroxide or something. Or should I do nothing other than try to keep it clean and hope for the best??
