This conversation on shell thickness and humidity is interesting, I’ve only ever had quail but I’ve messed around with humidity levels a bit and love dry hatching but anecdotally feel it makes the shells more brittle (thus easier hatching) but I’ve also lost a fifth of my eggs in one hatch to cracks in an incubator with a slightly slanted hatching floor (hand turning way too many eggs!) and no outer rim, they’d roll into one another or out of the incubator completely! Fascinating the differences between species and even breeds!
