Glad you saved the kittens and momma cat, who cares if you "broke the law" what they don't know doesn't hurt them and it saves the kitties.

It is 100% safe to give Strongid (Pyrantel) to the mom and kittens at this age, I think they should be wormed ASAP!!! Most clinics sell it over the counter and it is fairly cheap. They can also start eating solid (softened) cat food.

They are going to the vet Friday to be dewormed and checked out

Thanks for saving them. Don't worry what some people say, if you feel like you did the right thing and it is showing with the little ones then thats all the matters. People see cats as a throw away most of the time, unlike other animals. Hope to see pics soon!!

hey..you did the right thing..taking the kitties in..i've had to do that also...my x-neighbors(she was a druggie) cat had kittens..they kept coming to my yard..i could see..they were not healthy..finally..what made me take action was we found one of her kittens dead(a beautiful all white one..

) behind a planter in my yard..it was not attacked or anything..it was just very ill...and also i saw the momma cat in my garbage..she brought out the pork chop bones we had from dinner the night before..laid them on the ground for he babies to eat!..she fed them first..while she was starving herself!!..i just couldnt take it anymore!..i took them..got them healthy..found them homes....then..when she moved..she left a pregnant cat..just left her to fend for her self!..a neighbor and i caught her...the neighbor took her home..and i helped her take care of her..got her healthy..she had 5 kittens..(one i still have...my double paw baby..Digit..

)..we waited till the babies were weaned..and found them all (and momma cat also)..homes. so you did the right thing..those babies should not have been outside anyways..with no weather protection..etc...so..i thank you!...Wendy
