Some Brahma breeders notice a difference in the tail feathers...males growing with shorter tail feathers while females have pointier. But, Brahmas are not auto-sexing, so the differences would be subjective and not totally accurate.

More important is the comb. Here is a photo I clipped from a Brahma post from Beckyhsinglsc that shows the difference of combs at 6 weeks.

A guy that raises Brahma keeps telling me roos. Ia it not true about taila at this ahe? They are about 5-6 wks

Yeah, there does not seem to be anything that catches my eyes like red combs or saddle feathers

The Brahma has a fairly large comb for its age, but it's still too early to say one way or the other. The Orpington is looking like a pullet.
