Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

gone half a day and look at all the sweetness i miss. well, the po did it again ! can you imagine?they lose my babies and one dies then they lose the replacements. im not going into detail but the postmaster who i will refer to as kitty cat, RAN out the back door to keep from confronting me. im really not that scary just look that way. and the other woman gave me good reason why her bird was not shipped out but i haven't heard from her today.i dont think i will ever try shipping again. just stick with the same ol. still haven't heard about my daughter yet. dont they make meds for people like me?lol

Wow granny! You have a lot going on. We missed your sweetness too

I've only had PO problems twice. Once when we had to pick up live chickens about a hour from here cause they were going to not ship them to our PO til morning, after losing them altogether. And once when Turkey eggs sat at the PO in Texas for 4 days!
You have a glitch somewhere. Ours is southern Maine. When I lived in a different state and shipped stuff to my sisters I would cringe if anything hit that post office for more than a couple hours. I knew it would end up there for days! That's what happened to the live bantams... they lost em at that point.
I'm sure you'll hear about your daughter as soon as they know something.

Looks like Moose needs a doctor, too. He has an impacted crop! All those mealworms I ground up, and I completely forgot to offer grit.

Chicks don't normally need grit until they're off the chick starter because it dissolves in water. He's been getting the starter + mealies, so it completely skipped my mind. He's not looking too good. I made such an awful mistake.

Hun I feed mine game bird food with meal worms ground in with them. I've never given them grit. Look up impacted crop. It's gross but you can get it out of him. Is it hard? His crop. squishy? full?

His crop was pretty hard earlier, but I've been massaging it for a while. It's getting softer and squishier now. He took such a drastic turn from this morning. I hope it's just an impacted crop.
