Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

I have been following this thread for quite some time. I am waiting on the edge of my seat to find out what will hatch from these eggs Its been quite the read. I look forward to reading the posts at the end of the day. Now as far as how long to cook a chuckar. I cook them to an internal temp of 150 degrees. They are best served with some home made stuffing with sage in it. Lol. They are pretty tasty.

sounds good to me. tired of all this mcdonalds crap! three or four days to go people! i have never eaten my guinea eggs before although i dont know why, an egg is an egg . they are really hard shelled, tough to pip. its no wonder that out of 30 eggs they only hatch a few. that and guineas are bad mommies. they have to take the first ones off the nest within a few hrs or the will starve and the rest that could of hatched is just oh well.

Well, I have to be up early for school, so I have the eggs on lock down a bit early. I don't think it's such a bad idea, considering we still have mixed opinions as to whether or not they're quail eggs (which hatch a bit earlier than chukar eggs).

Don't forget we don't know how long dinosaur and mini ostrich take!!

I keep hearing this, but our guinea hatched out 9 of 10 eggs and was a great mommy. And the 2 males were attentive and helped teach them to drink and eat. She didn't lose a single one.

I've never tried a guinea egg, but my daughter has. She's willing to eat turkey, chicken, duck, guinea eggs - unlike me.

i will eat anything. lol starkasm, is ten eggs all your guinea laid or did you take some? mine never lay less then 30 before they go broody. was reading a post yesterday about jumbo coturnix quail. wonder how big they are?the egg i mean. my silkies egg piped yesterday nothing today and i opened it just enough to see if it was living and when i tried to put it back she wouldnt have it. i dont have my bator up so i put it with the babies under the heat light with a damp rag. we will see.
