Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

the only thing i can tell you about their parents are , their chickens. lol i know most the mamas but not the daddy. they are now calling for 1/2 in. of ice. i am up to 11 babies so far and more on the way. there is one ( theres always that one) that is soooo beautiful, it is all over a light charcoal gray/silver.i think if i get a fire going i have an old coffee pot that will go in there or my cast iron skillets. i can heat water in that. not sure what i would use to put the water in. dont think Ziploc will hold but maybe. i have a half tank of gas in the van. hahah

what have i done? thats over 50% hatch rate for now. i see pips and zips.the ice is coming and i didnt go get some wood. its already cut and stacked. guess i will slide out after i rest. Cheyan, did you decide??

Yep, I've decided. I will only have room for one or the other, and since starkasm is treating me to chukars, naturally I'm going with the chukars!

i have a still air Styrofoam little giant. i did get the egg turner at a junk store for 5 bucks though. everyone wants a 100 % hatch rate. some get it sometimes. some tell stories. lol there is NO way to determine sex in a chicken. or change it. if there were the hatcheries wouldnt be turning all the extra roosters into mush. and that is one of the biggest reasons i hatch my own. if i have too many roos i rehome or humanly cull them. i am up to 18 chicks so far.

way cool little chukars . I have a few name suggestions for you UP chukar, chukar NORRIS, chukar INN , WOOD chukar along with WOOD you could have HOWE and MUCH . chukar KAHN I could work on more if interested. I know very warped but that's what happens when you mix me and to much free time. LOL
