Finally down to just two geese. Other sis picked up her two. Have duckies coming next week and chukars are due soon. Incubator seems to be a bit spastic this year. I don't know if it's the weather or what but temp keeps needing adjustments.
Ordered a reptile incubator. Hoping that works better!

they have a top notch, how cute. reptile bator??? the heating elements go on the bators after a while, you can order just that part, depends on how nice of a bator you have. (worth fixing)

I've been thinking about building my own incubator for a while now. I might just take the heating element out and put it in a wood chest, lol. I can't stand that stupid styrofoam anymore. Aren't reptile incubators small? My dad used to be really into turtles and snakes and stuff, and sometimes adult females will lay eggs despite there not being any boys around. It was neat, but all those eggs were tiny, lol! Plus, I think they're incubated a bit differently, aren't they?

Btw, those goslings are too cute! I need some.

The reptile incubator keeps the digital temp you set. You can also use it to keep eggs cool if you let them set for a day or two before incubating. It's upright rather than lying flat like a chick one. So it has two shelves and fits two egg turners, each able to hold 16 regular eggs. It's also metal not foam! Looks like a teeny tiny fridge lol.
