Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Granny, that sucks.

A bit of good news... Pip finally gave food and water a shot. I gave the water to her warm like you suggested. Though, she preferred her food dry. At about four days old, I think this is the longest I've had a chick snub their food! She's such a sassy little thing.

I'm tired and that little bantam is taking his own sweet time. Almost out though. Just his butt still in. Then after he dries into the brooder and I sleep :D some...

Entertainment while we wait for the dinosaurs to hatch.....

New Bantam baby! About 9 hrs. He looks kind of like one we hatched out in August, but he is the first one that doesn't have black feet or skin and 1 of only 2 without a black beak.

2 years ago my sister brought a hatching egg over so my daughter could see it hatch and gave her the baby bantam (a rooster)
Last year she did the same thing (a rooster).

This year someone gave us two white silkie hens. So we put them with one of the who knows what breed it is rooster (he's the one in my avatar).
And randomly my daughter has brought in eggs from the hens and had me put them in the incubator.

First we got a white one with feathered feet and an orange beak and black feet.
Then one that looks like a barred quail with a black tuff on his head and black beak and feet.
Then a white one and a yellow one that both have 5 toes and black beaks and feet but red combs and are getting barred wing feathers.
And lastly a totally black one...
If I didn't know they were from the same mommy and daddy I'd never believe it! They are all so different. It's like a fun science experiment!!
Cheyen,
These are my science experiment babies. I only know the mama is a silkie....
Every time one hatches my daughter brings me a couple more eggs. I randomly throw them in the incubator. This last one I had no clue what day it was due lol. it pipped and I knew it was due! She brought me two more eggs yesterday.

Aww... he sounds like Pip. She hates being in the brooder all by herself. She cries all night long!

I laid on the couch with him tucked up under my chin for quite a while to quiet him down. Then I felt sleepy and thought my falling asleep holding him would be a bad idea!
He seems more adjusted today.
He's the first thing we've hatched that makes the Chukars look like they've actually grown! They are so little, even the ducks were born bigger. But this little guy is tiny!!
