My mother calls them "chicky doodles." Maybe she heard that growing up, but it always seemed to me she just came up with it on her own. I call them fuzzburgers.

Granny, how is the bird? If his wings have all clotted up, let him back in to the coop. Be careful when getting him out of the cage so he doesn't break the wounds open again.

Well, so far, the snow is holding off. But it is not supposed to get above 30 today. Keeping the fingers crossed it doesn't snow!

yup !! just got back from putting him in with his girls. i am a little suprised at how strong he is. he fought me the whole way and he almost won. and i hand feed him from baby. the only way i got to carry him was when i flipped him on his back. i knew the chickens did this and now know the guineas will too. i wonder why?

Flipping a bird over is what the dominant bird would do. So when you do that, you are showing him who is boss! LOL

bout too late for that already. told my husband i needed to go to the store and he went out and scraped the van( this is a big deal for him) and i really didnt need to go anywhere. it had half in. of ice and 7 in. of snow. hahahahahahahaa
