my birds are on free choice of oats mixed with dried grasshopper and a little cracked corn. (what the elevator sold as feed oats) and layer feed. plus scraps from 3 households and what ever they find outside. They went ape for the trimmings from the prime beef I bought and cut into ribeye steaks. I figured for a buck a pound price difference I could cut my own steaks.

The local grain elevator. only about 15 miles from my farm. Bought about 500 bushels from them in October.

My dogs were so mad when I put all the trimmings in a milk carton to go out to the girls. I informed them that they don't give me eggs and haven't given me any puppies either so tuff nutz.

so how did you get dried grasshopper? my guineas would love that. and i have NEVER had prime rib before. the few times i have gone out to eat that served it also had shrimp and crab and i wouldnt pass on that !

My male "yuri" registered name arch duke yuri null gave me that sad spaniel eye look as if to say not his fault the girls won't cooperate. And he should not be punished for that. I seem to attract the weird and unusual in way of animals. I need to do som more fencing that then want to get some yaks and maybe hair sheep.
