Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

I wouldn't mind breeding for meat this time around.. Only problem is, everywhere I've read says harlequin quail have made a dramatic comeback. I'd feel bad for eating something rare like that!

Wait, aren't harlequins really tiny?

IF it says that the Harley quins have made a comeback and you aren't planning on reintroducing the breed back to their native habitat I don't see anything wrong with raising them for meat. Glad to hear that the quail were worth the work and trama there tera !!!! Nice and frugal to use the left overs in a new and different way!!! Cudo's

At least it is just the eggs and not the chicks that the post office messed up on there Cheyen and your supposed to get the chicks on weds right??

Who is sick there granny??? I hope not ol'blue eyes.

Yeah, harlequins are tiny. I figure they'd make a nice appetizer if I got enough of them.

We'll just have to see about making them meat birds. It might be more productive to sell them than eat them.

That's what I was thinking, too.
Our grab bag of chicks might have a few cornish x in it, so we may yet have a few meat birds.

my blue eyed chicken is now a grayish/blue so they will turn grey probably. all the babies are doing great. i can see some curling. my sick ones are outside. i have been giving them tylan injectable with no help so i have ordered oxytetricycline. should get it by the end of this week. poor spazz, he is the worst one of them. of course. that is my tolbunt frizzle roo. one of my half grown roos died from it and another was so bad i culled. i will do all i can with spazz up till the bitter end in hopes that something will work. i would like to give something like benadryl but i doubt if its safe. they have the symptoms of crd but the tylan would of helped that

Chronic Respiratory Disease its bad. no in no out rule or cull them all disinfect and wait. the bad part is i have 26 babies in the house. it clears up but they stay carriers. mycroplasma like mg.that is what i thought they had before but now im not sure

That sounds pretty bad. Any way you could make a separate pen for the babies? Since they'd be carries, I mean. It'd suck to have to do a mass cull.

i would like to keep them separate i dont know. i go from one pen to the other anyway. i was planning on selling the most of these. now i need to find someone who will test for me.
