they were terrible here last yr. the babies were dying left and right. in front of my eyes. im trying to tell the girl thats there scooping them out to please give them some sav-a-chick or sugar water. i offered to go buy it and bring it back and give it to them and they refused. she took one little guy that wasnt dead and just threw him in the garbage .i begged her to let me take him and was told no. he is as good as dead anyway.she threw dead one on top of it. i think i lost my temper a bit. dont really remember. she was reported though i dont think they really cared.

just came in from the chickens, i looked at the mites and the 7 dust didnt do anything so i put her on her back and really dumped it on and rubbed it in. the roo with her, i see nothing. i went to the coop and checked about 4-5 of them and nothing. is this possible? only one hen? i did feed all the others ivermectin before i got her for leg mites and a just in case. think that could be it? i still have some. i did notice the ones i picked up are skinny. did i say I HATE BUGS ??? poor things suffer with something like that because im not on my game. i am still itchy

How did you apply the dust? Their feathers are really good at protecting their skin, so you kind of have to rub it in a little. The best places to apply sevin is near the vent, under the wings, and if they can stand it, under the back feathers. It works wonders! Sorry to hear about the fiasco last year, granny. Some employees just don't care.

i dumped it on her back !! i went back out and seen it wasnt working so i did flip her and drown them and i half way rubbed it in. what do you mean under the back feathers?

I'm pulling the plug on them now, daox. Eggtopsies later when they're cool and dry and less likely to pop, lol.

Granny, you have to rub the feather on their back in the opposite direction they grow, and then sprinkle the dust like that. In other words, rub 'em the wrong way!

My youngest hen laid her first egg today! It was a weird one, had a calcium build up on the entire shell. It looked white but you could tell it was supposed to be beige like her sister's. Still tasted good, though!
