Thanks for the reply! At least I can cross rhode island off the listNot RIR.
A cross of some kind.
Handsome boy.
As a wild guess I'd wonder if he had any Legbar in him. I don't know if I'm imagining a tiny crest on him or what. The comb is quite Legbar, and he has a bit of barring. And his earlobes are a pale whitish. But I really don't know with this one.
Where did you get him?
What colour was the egg, out of interest? Thanks for the reply! At least I can cross rhode island off the list
He was part of a batch of eggs I hatched in an incubator so not sure where exactly he came from. Eggs were given by neighbours. He does indeed have a tiny crest!
Hatched about 40 mixed eggs from brown, green and white so I honestly couldn't say unfortunately. He's the only one that colour from the ones I have too so I couldn't guess where he might have come from. What colour was the egg, out of interest?
Can you ask the neighbours?
CLB lay blue, so it's possible he was from a green egg. Olive Eggers have CLB in them.Hatched about 40 mixed eggs from brown, green and white so I honestly couldn't say unfortunately. He's the only one that colour from the ones I have too so I couldn't guess where he might have come from.
The other birds are very mixed but I've included pictures of a few if that helps! Very new to poultry so not sure of any of the breeds but I think the majority are roosters (unfortunately!)CLB lay blue, so it's possible he was from a green egg. Olive Eggers have CLB in them.
What did the other birds look like?
Any idea what breeds the neighbours have?
I see another crested young man.
I do think that your cockerel has Olive Egger or Cream Legbar in him.
I'm sorry it's just me![]()
Overo, you're letting the side down.
@NatJ, you're good at this. Any ideas?
Those white/grey cockerels are stunning.
Thank you very muchYour roosters are beautiful!![]()
